thinking of buying a used 2005 have some q's

hey i just checked out a 2005 g35 coupe 6mt with 22000 miles on it
during the test drive i noticed there was a bit of vibration coming from the clutch pedal -- is this normal? i never owned a stick car so i have nothing to compare it to. i know enough to be able to drive it though.

also when i turned off the car there was this clicking noise coming from inside the car somewhere. i was able to hear it from the outside and more so when i got closer to the front wheels. prob coming from under the car or the engine? it sounds like if you drive over gravel and little rocks and such kick up and hits your car the little *tick tick tick* sound. anyone know if this is normal?

anybody willing to respond and educate me a bit will be greatly appreciated. i know i didn't search but i figured i only have a little bit of time to decide so hopefully ya'll will help me out and not flame me too much

tick tick tick is more than likely the exhaust cooling down after your ride. A lot of cars do this...and my sedan does it as well.

As for the clutch issue, it's been some time since i drove a 6MT G35, so i don't remember if it was typical. But every other manual car i've driven has not done that.

The noises are the exhaust/transmission cooling down. As for the pedal vibration you may want to just check the tires for it could be tire roar.

I have a 05 6MT and have never had any clutch pedal vibration. You would want them to check that out before considering the purchase of this vehicle.

let's say the clutch vibration isn't normal. if anything i could always change it out right? everything else checks out on the vehicle and i would hate to have to turn down the deal because of this clutch situation.

Bad clutch does not give you vibration in the pedal ... Bad clutch would cause problems with throttle response and getting gears to engage properly. Normally when a clutch is bad you will hear people say the clutch is "slipping" not "vibration in the pedal".

Suggestion: Go test drive another G and see if you feel the same thing again .... maybe you left foot is super sensitive or something.

Probably is still under warranty, so it doesn't matter. Have the dealer look at it.

Is the vibration at all times or?

My 2005 has a clutch pedal vibration/noise when shifting which i haven't figured out.

the vibration mostly happens when i'm lifting my foot off the clutch slowly and the clutch is about the catch. also there's alot of vibration in the shifter itself but i searched around and it seems to be normal

18500 for a 2005 g35 coupe 6mt with only 22xxx miles
had some normal scratches on the front and rear bumper from normal nyc driving and one heavier scratch on the rear fender but it's not bad for the price i paid. oh and also it was the first owner and he had all the maintenance records and clean carfax
