My buddy is looking to buy an 04 G35 sedan, what things should he look out for

My buddy is looking to buy an 04 G35 sedan, what things should he look out for.

He is getting the car for a day from his cowork. He wants me to check it out. What are some things I should be looking out for so he can make a decision on whether or not to get this car.

Not much different from a coupe. Interior rattles, compression rods, Bose head unit crapping out the AC, the usual stuff. On the positive, if it has a Nismo bodykit, that's a bonus!

No real big issues in terms of tranny or engine

Just make sure the maintenance was done.

No problems from my 04

The early cars had some issues with the radio and if it's a manual transmission, with 2nd and 3rd gear syncros, and with window regulators.

- Make sure each of the 6CD's plays and ejects correctly
- In a 6MT, make sure that 2nd and 3rd go in without grinding
- Make sure that auto-up raises the windows all the way to the top. (This issue is easy to fix, <30 minutes DIY).
