How much G35 can I get for $15k?

you get whut you pay for.and every car is different.some G's are full of problems bc the previous owner ran it into the ground, and didnt give a **** about it AND some are aged but in great condition. if you can afford a decent performance luxury sedan then you better be able to keep up with maintainence..it might just come down to which car (G35 or etc)you choose.i have one and i dont regret it having it.

One question, who the hell cross shops a G35 coupe with an IS250, Accord, and Camry? i can see the G Sedan SOMEWHAT, but REALLY?
The 2 are FWD family cars, the lexus is a slow turd, and the G is a impractical coupe, wtf? I guess i am missing something here. Who cross shops these? And the Accord and Camry ARENT offered in a manual...

I would have to agree. Somehow a lot of this thread doesn't seem to be making sense. If you are looking for reliability a G35 isn't a half bad way to go but a Camry/Accord would be better. An IS could be a good way to go but I think you are gonna struggle to see one you like in your price range.

What is all this about G35's not being reliable? Maybe they aren't quite as good as an Accord or Camry, but that probably has more to do with how hard they are driven. You can choose the Honda or Toyota, but just realize that you will be sacrificing performance and style for a family car that everybody has.
Also, I don't understand how you started at $10K, bumped to no more than $15K, and then decided on $20K just to get into an IS250? All cars have their problems, but most will last 200K or more as long as they are maintained.
The comment about tires lasting no more than 10K-15K is also BS. Either drive less aggressively or buy harder tires. There is no reason you should have to spend $900 a year on tires for a daily driver.

I have a problem spending $$$$$ on a car when $$$$ will do. If the $$$$$ car looks sweet to me and has good reliability, then I can justify it. If it doesn't, I can't.
IS250 is on the mind for the same reason the g35c is-- I love the look of it.

Alright, well in that case I would get the G35 over the IS250. Of course I prefer the G35 sedans, but if you like the coupes get a coupe.

The g35's that i've seen mostly have been very reliable. I've had my car for over 2 years now and have put over 50k miles on it. The only thing i've have to do besides oil changes is replace the clutch interlock switch. The switch was $13.00 and took 10 minutes to install. As long as you don't beat these cars to death they last a long time. But as to why you would even mention camry and is250 in the same breath as a g35 is beyond me. Yeah those 2 cars are both reliable but only consider buying one if you hate your life.

I'm not cross shopping with Accord/Camry, I'm giving them as examples of reliable cars.

So do you not factor in a car's styling before buying it? It shouldn't be all you consider, but I would never buy a car if I didn't like how it looked.
