Dissappointed with s-techs

Ok guys lets start by saying i know i only had them for one day and they need to settle but i dont think that settling does that much of a difference.

I had never had a dropped car and was really careful because i didnt want to mess up the ride experience.. So i did research for about 4 months since i was so confused..

So yesterday i installed my s-techs on my coupe and the car dropped but not to where i wanted. I believed it would go to almost meet the fender but the back has like an inch gap and the front is almost where i want it

Hey bro. Well many members have taken this path of being disappointed with springs and getting Coilovers. With that being said you can always do the Spring Mount Mod. I really recommend it. BTW did you get g35 or 350z Stechs?

i would try the spring mount mod first, but you do realize that dropping the rear fender to the top of the tire is a very large drop that is usually only attained with coilovers or some of the most aggressive springs. both of these will require the installation of camber kits if you care about your tires in the least bit.

^^yeah do the Springmount mod but after a few weeks of settling. its easy and doesnt take too long.

cut 3/4" on the passenger side and 1/2" on the drivers.

It takes more like a week an half to settle springs...

But, should have bought coils if you wanted exactly where you wanted.

Never understood why people even bother with springs. Adjustable coilovers(good ones) let you adjust dampening(ride quality) and can be set at pretty much any height you want.

You live and you learn i guess.

The spring mount mod may help you some.

at the time for me it was money and i couldnt afford coilovers but still wanted to lower the car a bit so it helped out until i was able to upgrade to coilovers

Let the springs settle. I have S-Tech for the G35 and I like the way they look. Everyone has a different idea on how there cars should look like. There are alot of good lookin Gs on this site, you just have too like the way your car looks.
