Canyon Run with S2000 and New S4 and concern
Also, it doesn't stink like our G35. I swear it smells like rotten egg sometimes. Or burning rubber? Tires last longer on the s2k and on the S2k we can RECIRCULATE CABIN AIR w/o having the damn A/C turn on..
Interesting review OP, but not surprising. I'd still get the G35 over either one since the Audi will be far more expensive to buy, maintain, and insure, and the S2000 is totally impractical.
You want to drive a 4 seater that handles great and will put you back in your seat at any time drive an EVO! You will be hooked. My G has Tein's and Brembo's but in corners its not even in the same league. I love my G and just use it as a cruiser. I am getting another EVO for the winter months and rainy days though. To much fun!!!
I do not track my G35, so it is better than s2k...Luxury G35c If I track a lot, I would have bought s2k!...winding machine s2k rocks..
Next car would be winding machine for me....Evo and STI also rocks..

Yeah... even though I bought G with knowing it is a GT car(and more practical than 2 seater), I tend to forget the fact during runs.
But rather than comparing G to S2000(2seater), I think G needs be compared to S4(just considering weight and seats not power or price).
Even though S4 has more weight than G, S4 seems to be much more stable at corner. I feel like I am going to be thrown out at corners in G but in S4, I did not feel that feeling much.(Not sure it is just feeling or actual faster cornering speed)
And I think the intrusive slip prevention from quatro system(when the car start to slip, it jerks once and re-gains traction) allows a driver to push the car more close to the limit.
Of course it is not fair at all to compare a 7 years old car to new car(and price) but it was what I felt when I was in new S4.
But I think G is a really great car, it is well balanced at its price point and I love it too

Maybe in a few years I'll get an S2000 and keep the G35 as a DD.
