Short ram should be fine. That's how my cousin has his done, and I see no reason it wouldn't work on a G.
The full long tube (which will sound much better BTW) may or may not work.
I have a full long tube CAI for a Z on my G Sedan, but I had to get a little creative with the mounting. Also, it's not an InJen.

Stillen and JWT short rams with heat shields will suffer from heat soak too... I don't see how you guys really think a piece of plastic or metal acting as a one foot wall on one side of the intake filter is going to truly keep heat away when the entire thing is sitting in a hot engine bay. Now if it was a completely enclosed plastic heatshield, that would be slightly a different story...
