i think it's a battery issue

posting here since not many people check the tech area...

a couple days ago i came out to the car to find that one of my mods had drained the battery, I got a jump from a neighbor and took it straight to autozone. they said the battery was good and was carrying a 97% charge and alternator was fine.

when I get in the car (without even putting the key in the ignition) the car randomly clicks (think: hazards clicking sound) and it's really pissing me off lol

battery's good, alternator's good, but it keeps clicking... i got through it this morning by just upping the sound system's volume, but it's going to make me lose my mind

any ideas?

i've since removed the mod off the battery until I can get this figured out.

Well it sounds like you found your battery problem. Defective plate holder.

Rename the extension to .m4a, it's an audio clip i recorded on my phone of the clicking sound so you can see what I'm having to deal with. It's obnoxious!

i always mention this story but my bros z was having starting issues. checked the typical batt voltage and it was all good so we thought the batt was fine but turned out the batt from the factory was one of those with the water inside and the water level was low but he never ever checked it or knew to check it so the batt was damaged somehow becuase of it. so he replaced the batt and all is good.

im having same issue but my hazards r staying on.. nissan dealership was no help here n panama city and infiniti dealership is over 100 miles away.. i have tracked it down to either a bad hazard wire to the bcm or a bad bcm itself... also i have work wheels without tpms installed so i always have that light but now it is of as well.. my blinkers work but not my hazards now.. all i did was find the bcm and unplug it and plug back n..
when i scanned it it came back with codes c1708,c1709,c1710,c1711, i cleared them and now none r present.. also got a brand new battery yesterday to make sure that wasnt it..

if it comes back im guessing i need a new bcm..
