Arcan XL-35R low profile floor jack
The HF jack has a complete lower profile than all the ones shown which would allow it to go under our lowered sides without having to use roll-ups or 2X4s. I'm still using my ancient Sears standard 4 ton jack, it not pretty (green) and weighs a ton but it works and has for years....

That's the key advantage of the Arcan, at least on an unlowered 2nd gen sedan. The Arcan sits lower and reaches farther back to the front jacking point than any of the HF jacks (which gets stuck just right behind the bumper). Believe me, the guy at HF just started laughing when i returned the 3rd jack, trying to figure out which one worked. The closest thing they had with farther reach, but wouldn't work for lowered vehicles were the "orange" heavy duty jacks that costs more than the Arcan.
If you're jacking from the side rails, it's all moot. Any "low-profile" jack will work, and the better ones can do even with moderately dropped vehicles.

yup, no lie. 4-6 pumps and the tire is off the ground. another 2 pumps and you're at good high to put the jacks.
i love it, as much as i take off and put on my rims, or change my oil, etc.
i had the costco jack and it lasted me a good year of repeditive usage, it started leaking hydralic fluid and one of the rear wheels snapped off.
