LOL hardly afraid of the competition. This is a side gig for me. You are correct though on both counts. It won't take away from aftermarkets sales and that there are a lot of brand ****** out there. Most who pick up this car will prolly not know what Nismo or how it relates to IPL. Hell there are quite a few that i've run into on the street who didn't know Infiniti is made by Nissan! LOL

I just feel their price point is relatively high with what they offer. Greddy, HKS, Tanabe, Volk, and countless other brands aren't going anywhere. But as the old adage goes "There's a sucker born every minute"

^Because a bunch of people are retarded and don't realize Infiniti is made by Nissan... and if they did, it would shatter their little world.

yeah… ehhh. i dont know…. how do i word this… why?
why dont they just improove the S series…
i think the looks are way off in the rear end…
why dont they throw the 5.6 in so it can compete with the m series bmws, lexus isf, and mercades amg series cars…
personally i thing that the G line was at its peak when it released the rev-up 6mt 06-07 g35 coupe… they are by far sportier than any other G in the G line in my opinion...

Nissan needs to just step up and grow a bigger pair. If they are going to make a "performance" car any one who is going to buy it is not going to be shocked (pun) when the suspension is tight and no longer luxurious, or at least they shouldnt be... I'm laughing at them right now, they just need to launch a car that can compete with M, AMG, ISF. Its ridiculous.

I think it makes sense for them to start off slow to see where this leads.

My thoughts, exactly.

Let's face it, performance vehicles from any other maker that's not German in origin have relatively slow take here in the US unless it's priced sub-40 (or in that range). We're lucky they're even considering it and giving it a try.

Not sure if anyone else is aware, but they tried the same thing on the Nissan camp... the NISMO Maxima and NISMO Altima. They started building/ordering the parts for the line-up but eventually stopped it... flooding the market with whatever parts were built for the program (mostly wheels) at pennies to the dollar. I'm sure they don't want to make the same mistake with IPL.

Granted, the head of the IPL push did say this is not meant to compete with the M's and AMG's, it still could if the market can support it.

^To an extent... but Nissan seems to always take stuff too slow and end up missing the boat. Like the Cube for example, I'd venture that it would have sold much better if they would have got it into production during the xB dominated square car craze.
