why am i rubbing?

so i just intalled 15mm spacers on the front of my sedan. so my setup for the front is now 20x8.5 20offset. i have 245/35/20s and am dropped on 350z stechs. and i rub VERY BADLY. even when going in a straight line. if it hits a bump, it rubs. i didnt think it would rub nearly that bad. is this normal? do i maybe just need to pull out the very top bilt on the outside edge of the inner fender? i will eventually get some 225/30/20s but i can not afford to jump on new tires right this minute. thanks

Removing the two fender screws with definitely help. I just removed mine today because after going lower I was rubbing against the fender screws really bad (made a really loud noise when I turned). I'm still rubbing up front but not as badly as before. I am at 19 x 8.5 +15 up front.

In order to stop rubbing completely you likely need a smaller tire size and/or more camber.

Feel along the inner part of the fender right at the edge as you described. When I removed mine today I had two. I thought there was only one too but for some reason I had two. BUT, there weren't any on the passenger side so maybe I had them both installed on one side, not sure. If you only feel one and remove that one, then your good.

Your rubbing where the fender and front bumper bolt up Kenny. Take a look just behind your side marker, you will probably see the edge of the where the bracket meets the fender bent downward. You basically need lower profile tires or to remove the spacers. Negative camber might help a bit too...that means front camber kits.

ok so i took those 2 bolts out you were talking about and that helped tons. it barely rubs now. now it only rubs when i make a turn and hit a dip in the turn. i think i can get away with dropping down to a 235/35/20. if they even have that size.

chris that bracket is kinda far forward isnt it? the tire will hit something way up there?

^Nice, glad that worked for you. Be careful in the turns. You don't want to hit a dip too hard with your wheel turned. Get some smaller tires when you can to stop the rubbing completely.

Yeah, it will depending on what size tire you run and how dropped you are....oh and how flush you are too Glad you got it solved though.

haha well the tire is definatly poking at the moment. but i think if i was to drop it a little more it wouldnt be poking so much. im contemplating on those spacers you have though. not sure if i wanna do 5s or 10s for the rear. and ill check that bracket out tomorrow and see if thats rubbing. thanks for the tip
