Ok so i just need to vent a lil...saw this thread when i was in iraq told my girl to watch out for it (light or recall notice) then couple days before i get home the notice shows up in the mail so im thinkin iight i gotta make the 2 hour trip to Mobile AL since they are the closest.....once i get home i drive a few days and then the light comes on so now i know its deff time to get the work done so i call up make the appt and a few days later i take it over only to get to the dealership and them tell me they sold out of the bracket i need like an hour ago even though i had an appt so i talk to the manager and he makes things right by givin me a G37 loaner and telling me that they will bring my car back to me on monday....so now i get back on the road and half way back i get a call from the dealership sayin they have the bracket i need they were thinkin of the wrong one so my car will be done in 45 mins i tell them i dont have the time to head back again so they can still bring it to me monday. I then got home and about another hour after that dealership calls again saying my car is done i tell them again i cant make tyhe trip back hold my car for the weekend and bring it to me on monday.......so here we are today and phone rings its the dealership sayin here is the driver to get my addy to get to my house im thinkin sweet my baby is on its way back home.....15 mins later the dealership calls back sayin that they didnt know my airbag light was on and my passenger airbag is broke it would cost $500.00 i am currently waiting on the manager to call me back because i understand its broke ok w/e but the fact they didnt check it over before it was gonna be on the road back home unsat IMO.......somethings you might be thinkin airbags are under warrenty until 70k im at 93k so no luck there...thats all i can think of right now jus needed to vent and i knew you guys would understand me more than my girl

This is strange I've never received a recall notice on my coupe, seeing how their mechanics work I'd be a little apprehensive about taking it in for service. When I had her in for a window motor it was never fixed right, the window unless it's all the way up or down pops/cracks. Having received a questionnaire and letting them know about the window issue they never responded....typical Infiniti stealership!

My Infiniti (Canada) left a message for me on my phone a couple weeks ago about the recall.. I've been too lazy to bother though. And I really don't want them touching my car

I got my notice today. Why do I feel like this is just an excuse for them to try and convince me to trade in my car?

Yeah. Or you will leave with a new dent/scratch that you didn't have before..

Typical? That never happens at my dealer. Nothing but positive from me.

I finally got my airbag notice. THe problem is, is that i am never home long enough to let them do it.

In a few weeks, i am going home and I might just leave my car at home for two weeks, have my parents take it in and fix it, then come home and swap cars again.

Is there an actual legit link for this issue? I'm going to look at the G35 in my sig tomorrow morning and the guy that has it is the original owner, I guess I can ask him.

I understand that if it has anything to do with safety and a company finds a problem then it is more cost effective to replace those parts. My car had a seatbelt that wouldnt retrack but Infiniti replaced it for free.

I will be taking my car in for sure now. Better safe than sorry.

2003 G35 Sedan 6MT - Saw this, called Dealer, provided VIN, Dealer confirmed, set up apt for Wednesday (Miller on Van Nuys) morning to take care in. They will give me a Loaner.

Cheers !

FYI: I am the second owner of this car, bought it in 2006 from a dealer in Orange County. I DID NOT receive any recall notices etc. Just called Dealer with VIN.
