ok so i checked and theres no recall number, but sounds like theres success with just calling and checking your vin, or even just brining your car to the shop. i also posted the info on this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...lashing-2.html where the guy was having airbag trouble and some members are successful in getting the work done also.

I just called today and my car (2004) is part of the recall, but I was told they don't have the parts in stock yet and it will be a month or so before they can fix it. I was told that it is a connector under the driver's seat that needs to be replaced and extended by 6" to fix the issue. Just to clarify recall info, even if you're out of warranty it will still be fixed at no charge. When companies do recalls they decide whether to fix it or leave the issue alone by weighing the potential costs of law suits due to the problem vs the cost of fixing the issue, when a recall is issued it's because potential cost of law suits would be higher than the cost to fix the issue.

This may not be unusual but other than adds from my local dealership and notices they'd like to have my coupe as a trade in I've never received anything from Nissan and I'm the original owner.... Wait and see.

I have got the air bag light blinking after my passenger adjusted their seat by sliding it back while we were driving. That immediately told me that the side air bag's wiring harness was losing connection. When the 05-07 recall was announced, I called infiniti and told them my 03 was having the same issue. They said to take it to the dealer and I would likely have to pay a diagnostic fee and if I elected to fix it I would have to pay for that as well. I told them no thats bull****, I can't afford to pay a dealer to fix that. The lady I talked to told me that they would have a case open for me and if the recall was extended to include my 03 they would notify me and reimburse me for what I paid the dealer. So now I will be expecting them to notify me.

I got the letter but it's for my 06 coupe. It mentions nothing about the air bag light staying on.

It just says:

If the RED and YELLOW air bag lights up at the same time for more than a few seconds, your passenger air bag has been deactivated. And don't let anyone ride in the passenger seat.

I contacted Infiniti via e-mail and they said my 04 coupe was on an open recall. Here are the numbers they sent me with no other explanation.PO339 G35 SAB connector ITB10-034.My closest dealer is 400 miles one way.My light isn't flashing so can I assume that the recall stays open until the said vehicle gets repaired or is there a time limit for repairs?

Yes. I have an extended warranty, but this is unrelated to that.
