I bought mine in Feb 2010, it was Certified Pre-Owned, I bought the Elite 7 year warranty for $1100........better safe than sorry. the projector HID's go for $500+ each alone. It's worth the peace of mind in my opinion.

best of luck

When I start my car (cold) I hear a squeak for over 5mins or so. Last time I was at the dealership they mentioned that I would probably need to replace my belts next time.

So today when I got off work after a hard rain, I started my car and the squeak was louder and lasted longer!!

I have the elite extended warranty. I was reading the warranty book and it states "belt & hoes" (extensive coverage for high wear components including belts and hoses)
When I read through the Engine section I only see serpentine belt tensioner and brkt. It doesn't specifically say belts.

I'm hoping they cover the belts I recall the salesman telling me that the belts were covered so they better not try to screw me.

What do you guys think?

That's a hard call. My first re-action would be no but if your warranty states belts and hoses I would definitly try to get the dealership to fix it.

those dirties!

Of course they said the warranty doesn't cover it. Which is what I expected figured I could force the issue. So they said the statement about the belts and hoses is regarding damaged caused by another component not wear and tear.

Oh well, when I go in I'm going to have them fix my cig lighter and that recall for the passenger air bag.

I have a few pre-existing conditions on my 03 coupe. The radio has the CD ERROR FO message, I have the ABS/VDC/SLIP lights coming on, and my passenger door lock actuator needs to be replaced. Will a warranty purchased now cover these things?

I dont know if you have the same issue, but my e-brake,slip and vdc lights were on for a long time. I changed my brake rotors and they all went away. Maybe thats the issue you have, dont know about the ABS though. Mine is an 03 coupe.

Warranty is just like insurance..It's worth it when you need it
