How do you check over a used G35 before buying?
Check out www.infinitihelp.com. You can download all of the TSB's from there.
First you'll need a CARFAX then if it's flawless take the car to Nissan and have them check it out. It was also be helpfull if the owner has the service records....G/L

Cant always rely on a carfax though. I had my motor replaced in my 04 Neon by the dealer i purchased it from. Put a 50 shot of N2O to it at the track and cracked the block and put a hole thru a valve(neons suck).I traded it in for my G a couple of weeks ago. When they put it on thier website I checked the Carfax and all it said on the date that i had the motor replaced was had inspection done and clutch replaced.
I would say that not all repainted cars are bad. It's hard to find an used G without repainted front bumper at dealers. That is just the front bumper, there are more body parts that you should expect to see them repainted. You know, the car is used and I wouldn't expect it looks brand new. And it also depends on how much you are willing to pay. Pay less? expect more flaws. And I also dont trust Carfax at all. Of course it is good to have a report from Carfax but you gotta check the car by yourself or pay money for your mechanic to check the car. IMO, an 05 Coupe should be around 17k at this point to call it a good car. It can be less/more depends on where you buy from, dealer/private? My friend bought an 04 Coupe from a private seller last month for 12k and that car is totally crap. He bought the car by himself without my help. I mean, I am not a pro at checking the car but it is always better to have a G owner/driver to check the car first before buying. Too many problems that I am not able to help him out, final answer is to sell the car. So It is DEPENDS on your BUDGET. Very little chance that you would get a good car at cheap price. It does happen but rare. Anyways, GOOD LUCK.
