Z and G35 rear suspension issue

OK - a n00b here, so be kind.

My understanding is that the Nissan Z has a lot of issues with the alignment of the rear suspension, resulting in tire noise and uneven wear. This came from some long-term reviews of the Z.

Since the G35 is based on the Z in someways, has the earlier G35's had such issues?

If I am thinking of buying an older G35, do I have to be concerned about this?

Yep. G has the same problem. EXCEPT, Infiniti is turning a blind eye on this one. Nissan already issued a TSB.

For the G there's a bigger problem with the fronts than there is with the rears. They set the factory camber a little negative to improve handling. The main issue is there is little to no positive camber adjustment available for the front end if you want to bring the fronts back closer to 0 degrees Camber.

yah a lot of people seem to have bad tire wear on the front tires. Its typically on the inside of the tire. when i bought my G with 35k on it the front tires were pretty bald and the road noise was terrible from it! I replaced the tires with Yokohamas and no more road noise and after 7k i havent noticed any tire wear but i think it takes around 15k to notice...just a guess tho

Right once again....^....if you want to get great tire wear it's a good to get the camber adjusters front and rear. In the long run they'll pay for themselves considering the cost of quality rubber, you'll never have to listen to the dreaded tire Rooooar.

Yeah I had a rude awakening to the front inner tire wear! Got to work one day and I noticed my front right looked almost flat. Felt around for a nail and ended up coming across a 10in long strip of WIRE! I about **** my pants because the outside of the tire had a good ~5k miles on it!
