Seems like an interesting concept.
sounds like a waste of time and messy imo lol

^ Yep, I would just invest in a filter that can do 10k miles OCI

the bosch distance plus is great and Advance Auto Gives that out. with Syntec for 26.99

But Look into other filters, that can to 8k OCI's

I believe so. I started buying Edge a couple of oil changes ago and I could have sworn it was right at $26. Maybe I'm wrong though. I'll have to check next time I'm at WalFart. I think it's been on sale at least one time when I bought it.

It takes me around 2-3 minutes to do, then you simply wash your hands, and that's it. An oil change takes much longer, costs more and is messier overall.

Amsoil EA also, but I did have an issue with one leaking once. Could have been my error. I switched back to Wix and change halfway.

Try Advance Auto, they always have specials on oil. Just got 5 qts of 5w30 Castrol Edge fully synthetic and a K&N filter for $25. One hell of a deal.

Your oil won't run out if you just take off the oil filter.

This has been discussed before and it seems like people have said there is some sort of check valve that allows you to change the filter without losing all the oil.

yeah, you will only lose whats in the filter and a alittle bit of oil.

id say another 1/2 quart would probably be enough

but to me it seems kinda worthless, might as well drain the oil and swap the filter. its cheap enough

You sure of that? For one, the filter is actually higher than the bottom of the oil pan if I remember correctly. Not to mention the check valve which I think is in the block. And the fact the Amsoil recommends an filter change while keeping the same oil.
