G35 Blown engine?

So here I was about to hit the quarter mile to get times for the forums and i got to the line, hit the gas and half way (into 3rd gear) into it my turbo stopped for 5 seconds and the engine just stopped immediately. I saw a huge puss of white smoke meaning antifreeze/water I would assume meaning head gasket blown. But if that was the case, my engine would have clicked a few times if I tried to start it. Now when I crank the ignition it only gives a click or a slight starter movement and stops. does that mean my engine has been locked up??? Appreciate the help!

A few possibilities. If coolant filled cylinder than it could be hydrolocked and caused connecting rod to bend.

Remove spark plugs and see if crankshaft can be rotated by hand without binding. If engine doesn't rotate than it could be siezed from bearings or bent rod. Bent connecting rod will sometimes allow engine to rotate in opposite direction from normal.

If engine rotates freely than check oil for coolant, inspect cylinders for sign of coolant with spark plugs removed. If engine coolant in cylinders or oil than headgasket blown or head cracked.

Yea so I assume its locked somehow, think the pressure from the turbo did it or was it just its time? I have a warrenty also so i need to remove my turbo and all haha. thanks any other help would be useful like if i repair it w/o warrenty, about how much would it be for a head gaskey, or bent rod or whatever

How do you have a warranty on a fully built block, but yet have to remove the turbo? Was the engine designed to handle the extra boost?

Pull your spark plugs and try to turn the engine over. If it still doesn't go, you more than likely blew something internally.

How much depends on the extent of the damage. Honestly, there is not much we can tell you from here since we can't see the car. I've seen guys crack their blocks in half (various other vehicle types) at the track from carnage...and not find out about it until they get the car home and tear into it.

Mustang: I think you got a little confused with the replies. I have stock motor/trans on 8PSI and I have an extended warranty with a third party. I think hot rod was talking about his block when he said fully built to reply to silverg. Anyways, I will be getting a new engine paid for by the warranty company and hopefully it will have alot less miles than mine did
(68000). Maybe the shop will build it up a little with forged pistons or something. Good thing I bought that optional extended warranty
