How often should I change my oil?
Before anyone flames, my g35 has a new motor with 2,400 miles on it. It has been 400miles since the last oil change. I've heard that I should change my oil every 1,000 miles since motor is still new?
wouldnt it be the same as buying a brand new car since that motor is new
think you should still be good with regular oil changes.
anywhere from 3000-4000 miles depending on how/where you drive.

Aren't K&N filters washable?

OP I hear you change it at 1k, then do normal Intervals.
But do a UOA to see how long you can go. And don't spend your money on M1, For the same price either Syntec or Penzzoil Platinum. They out perform M1 hands down.
oh and neither of these oils are "Fully Synthetic" They are Semi, but that does not mater much. Syntec and PP are great oils.
Thought I hear M1 EP is alright.

^ Exhaust is great
Thanks for asking.
Google Blackstone labs
They send you out a container that you fill up and for 22.50 + shipping to them. They will test the oil. If you want to see how far the oil can go on your driving also do a TBN test which costs abit more.
Since your car is just breaking in all the wear metals will be high.
Here is the report you will get, This is my car using Syntec 5w/30. The first time I sent the oil it was the oil the dealer had in it. which was meh, Look at the Iron and Copper. With Syntec those numbers dropped way down.

Is it okay to continue using the OEM filter or should I try something else? I'm changing the oil every 2-3 months (5000-6000km... Yea, I drive alot) and I use Mobil1. It's only a few dollars for OEM filter and copper ring.
OP.... sorry for jacking your thread.....lol
