^Priorities change. Look at O Hella and how he has demodded his car 18 times and almost bought something else

Well then good luck on your 6MT G35 and then your Denali and then your Bentley!!!

I'm gonna go get a Porsche 911TT tomm, and then later down the road a Bentley and a Ferrari at a later time.

Does your family own a chicken farm?

Stick to your G and mod it. It's still one of the cleanest cars on the road.

I plan on keeping my G for a while, but secretly get a little jelous when a wrx sti drives by. A newer STI was out of my price range, even a 2011 WRX was still 10 grand more than I got my G for. I might be a little more envious once snow hits.

It might have 30 more hp but it's also slower than the 335 due to the fact BMW underrated their engines. The G37 also has less torque. The 335 is also better balanced, has a better clutch engagement point, more precise and communicative steering, brakes better despite having a lot smaller brakes, handles better despite not having a fake LSD, doesn't have front brake shudder, doesn't have bubbles in the seats, doesn't have a peeling dash, doesn't have rattling exhausts, doesn't have valve train chatter....I can continue if you'd like? And manning up and getting an AMG? Modern day yuppies buy those things, I see more of those around than base models. Give me a break. Man up and get a bike if you want to go fast and get your adrenaline going.

I see you read Car and Driver too. Just kidding no offense meant. Yes, I'm a yuppy with a 2010 Black Mercedes E Class Coupe. I just can't get into the styling of the 335i. Hey but that's just my personal taste.

If I were to get rid of my G today, I would consider:

- 11 Mustang GT 5.0
- Corvette 6.2 with TTops
- Audi S5
- BMW 335
- 370Z

I honestly can say the G cannot compete with any of the cars mentioned above performance wise, without spending BIG bucks on mods...

I said AMGs are for yuppies :-) I would definitely rock a 2010 E coupe. And I don't read Car and Driver, I came to those conclusions after doing an HPDE in a stock 335i and after having my G37 for over 2 years. I love my car, but like someone said earlier, you can tell where the premium price comes from.

Now if you guys really want to man up go Mercedes AMG. Let's start with the C63 AMG. About the same size as the 335i but with a whopping 451 hp. One step up and you get the E63 AMG 518 hp. I own a 2010 benz E-class coupe and can confirm that it is a great car. Unfortunatly it's my wifes car so no AMG. The Benz AMGs are far better cars than the BMWs. You'll pay more but you will get more for your $$$$$.
Stock, the Bimmer has a little bit less power, but the difference in agility - handling and braking, is immense. The G35 has more trouble putting the power down, the BMW just squats and takes off. Cornering, it's a lot harder to keep the G settled, it's hard to explain, but the feedback is a bit numb, it's more difficult to tell what the tires are doing so you can't push as hard. It's not all about HP.

I love my 2003 G35 sedan to death, but I'm thinking of moving onto something European in this class, since all the European competitors have tow ratings, and I need something that can tow my track car to the track
(Audi A4, BMW 3 series can to 3500lb, Infiniti, 0 lb )

Beemers on average dyno about the same as G37s, with an *** load more torque at a lot lower RPM.

Yup, having driven a G37 coupe and 335i back to back, the mid-range was incredible in the BMW. That turbo does wonders at low RPM. Infiniti, BMW, Audi, all play a game of leapfrog. When I bought my G in 2003, Infiniti was clearly on top. BMW is king of the hill right now, in my opinion.

^ Dude, seriously? Get the S5 and never look back. Better driving position, AWD, nicer interior, that 4.2 that makes that sweet sexy sound that no V6 will ever come close to....come on!!!
