135's and 335's are beasts with the Juicebox. I've heard about reliability issues with the engine but don't know personally. I'm gonna keep my x for the snow but I've been seeing ISF's getting pretty cheap. By the time I'm ready to buy I think that might be the route I go. I'm not comparing the two. Just might be the car I acquire next. I'll probably stick with a Japan made vehicle. The Toyota FT-86 looks nice. If they offer a turbo version and the production model looks similar to the concept it could also be an option.

I dont think I would ever consider a BMW as a replacement for my G. One day I want to move from my 03 G35 Sedan into a G37 Sport Sedan with the 6MT. That will be the day..

If you drive the BMW you will change your mind.

I have ridden and I must admit they are impressive. I have family that does IT work at the local BMW Plant, so I have heard a lot of stories about people who lease them. It seems like every other lease car has to go into the shop at least once for something.

And my G37 has been in the shop for the following issues:

-Faulty ECU
-Faulty brake switch
-Faulty clutch switch
-Faulty cruise control module
-Prematurely wearing front brakes (two separate occasions)
-Faulty front right hub
-Muffler recall
-Faulty catalytic converter
-Peeling dashboard
-Failed pilot bearing which led to the flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate failing
-and now my 2nd gear grinds like crazy

In less than 3 years of ownership, that is too many issues for a "premium" brand.

Out of all the Infiniti owners I know (5 of them), all of them had issues with their cars and have not been problem free. Out of the 3 BMW owners I know (2 335i, 1 335 vert), the only one that has had an out of ordinary dealer visit is my buddy with an 07 to get his fuel pump replaced due to the recall and to have a cooler installed that now comes standard on all 335is. Of course, my statistics are in no way accurate, but I am just bringing up a point that we all know people that have good and bad experiences. If I could do it all over again, I'd get the 335.

You are very right, Everyone has bad expiriences and seeing a select few cars, while it is not accurate, does make an impression. The mechanic I work for in the summer has had two G35s the first was stolen with 40,000 on it. Never had a problem to speak of. The one he got to replace it has 140,000 on the clock and has also been problem free for him. My G has never given me trouble. It creates a skewed view. I'm sure the BMWs are decent cars too, I have just heard too many bad stories

I had a G35 as well, and it was problem free for me except for a sunroof rattle that the dealer could never fix. I wish I kept that car.
