practice on a driveway that has an incline to find the engagement point....

It all takes practice. When I was 15 (and the g was new) Hills used to make me shake on the pedals. Just drive enough to where engaging the car becomes as natural as tying your shoe.

Hate when I am on a hill and some soccer mom on the phone stops 6" from my bumper. I'll move up a few feet to get a buffer and they will creep up with me and do it again.


I just let thenclutch up before I get off the brake so it starts to grab right when I am giving it gas. You can use the handbrake as well.....that is why its on then center console (and not for drifting like everyone else thinks) as it is an effective way to stop from rolling

#2! I burned a clutch once on a steep hill because I didn't want hit some idiot that was almost touching my bumper.

Well, someone beat me to it but this is the best way to learn. That is how i learned. It might be the best way for you.

wow driving manual for 6 years and having this problem? thats kind of embarrasing dude lol. ive only driven manual for 6 months and dont have to problems like that.

heres a tip. let off the clutch about halfway (2-3 inches maybe?) then release ur foot on the brake. then let off more of the clutch then ull hit the engagement point. when u do the car should stop rolling back thats how u kno its time to give a bit of gas and u should be set after that. when u hit the engagement point u can actually hold it there while u give it some gas. jus dont do it for too long. hope that makes sense

It's time for them to learn a lesson and get hit and have their insurance pay for the damages not your clutch.
