I agree, with the sophistication of the new dual and quad clutch rev matching auto transmissions they are actually faster than sticks. Either C&D or R&T tested several autos against sticks on the road course and in all cases the autos were faster. You shift (paddles) without removing one hand from the steering wheel and instead of brake, clutch, shift, gas you left foot brake while on the gas. If you want to drive a stick fine there is just no need to criticize the auto crowd. It's just a matter of personal preference. Oh and by the way don't be racing any G35 auto's with a valve body kit.

I would trade in my 335i for this in hoping it would be more reliable. I see a lot of comments in here about oh I would rather have a 335i at that price. The 335i is NOT that great of a car and most certainly NOT worth its 50k price tag. I'm not saying this car is worth 50k either, but I am certain it will be more reliable.

@Tim
So did the new owner go pick up the car yet? Just wondering (just saw the trahead) and might be willing to drive to Ft Worth just to take a closer look at the ride. Give me a chance to take a vid of it with the HD Flip.
Anyway; just wondering.
@silver_g
Right now; I have a 05 6MT G35 and love it but think my next car will be a BMW 335i coupe. The reviews of the car (as long as it's not the 07) have been solid; are you saying it's not that reliable of a car? What problems have you had? I've heard you can really feel the torque even in the lower revs; what's been your experience with the car in general. Of course if i get one; I'll be looking for a low-mileage BMW and not a brand new one bc dropping 50k for ANY car just isn't worth the investment. Just my op though.

These seem like common problems because the service guys are not surprised or act like they have not seen it before. When the turbo's blew the second time in less than a year all the service guy said was "well yeah BMW is still figuring out this whole turbocharging thing." It's pretty sad my 7 year old Infiniti runs circles around this thing when you consider reliability.

Tim, I love it! And also, whoever posted the link to Winding Road, thank you.![Biggthumpup](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/biggthumpup.gif)
I have an '05 G coupe and the only reason why I haven't upgraded to a newer G is the body style. I'm a big fan of the older body style and the newer lines are just not as sleek as the older ones.
Thanks for the post.

Try owning a BMW motorcycle. I've had two and like the 335i owner, they are fantastic when they are running right. But woe to you if you don't have warranty coverage. If you are buying a BMW motorcycle and plan to keep it past the initial warranty, BUY the extended coverage. One major issue and it pays for itself.
I only have *** stuff now with 2 Yamaha's. They do everything I need them to and no headaches.

From a performance standpoint...
50k for a limited edition G37 (That's not including the dealer mark up which would probably be about $2500-5000)...the performance had better come close to a GT500 which has an MSRP of 48k. in fact, a 30k 2011 Mustang GT would kill that IPL since it can hang with an M3 in the straights and in the turns.
If infiniti slapped on a factory supercharger which would most likely include a factory warranty...I'd hit it.
