I don't drive like a grandpa, but I also don't drive like my son, who is mostly flooring his Audi A 4 turbo and his car really needs premium. I have never experience any pinging while accelerating even in the summer when it is more likely to happen. The Infiniti owners manual recommends 87 octane (regular) and premium for performance.

If he works 2 days a month and works for 7 hours a day at say $8 an hour. That's about $90 after taxes.

If he doesn't spend a whole lot on unnecessary things that would work, if he pays for school with loans/or parents.

Always chevron Premium, nothing else. I want my engine to run smooth so I get what is recommended.

Dude, the 5AT sedan DO NOT NEED Premium.

All Coupe and 6MT Sedan need premium.

If you drive a 5AT sedan, it doesn't matter. It's not tuned to run Premium.

And yes, it's the same motor. But it's tuned differently. This is the same engine used in a Maxima, Altima and so on.

Again, read the screen shot of the manual that says this. Do I have to post this in every page?

Driving past Chevron and now Premium is $4.09. I guess by summer it's going to be $5+
