I read somewhere that the e light goes on when theres 4 gallons left. So the mileage depends on your driving.

Strickly premo. Business pays for it.

$$$$$$.

Gotta love having the company BP card. Sucks when the next BP is 45 miles away and the gas lights on thought.

Got 27 mpg in my 06 6MT with this last tank. All highway. Under 80 mph. Been running 89octane from this nasty little station out in the sticks.

Think I'll stick with cheap nasty 89 for a while.

They're shooting at protesters in Saudi Arabia today. Wonder who will be paying for premium when they hang Prince Faad from a lighpost by his toes and a gallon costs $10......if you can find a gallon at all.

Expensive car, expensive mods, expensive gas. Ha!

Totally agree with you there! Gas is going to get insanely priced and with that will come the increase in price of the commodities.

Ive thought more this week about selling my car than I ever have.

Actually gas shouldn't be that expensive. Bush Jr. mandated removal of oil from the largest oil reserve in the world, found below Colorado and a few other states. They can get to the oil from government owned land. http://gratewire.com/topic/the-answe...oil-dependence So why is gas so high? Because we have to pay the Queen of England, look here, lots to read but if you read it you will see that England OWNS the IRS for the USA? So we pay taxes to the Queen. Also if you dig you will see the USA is actually a corporation owned by England also. http://www.natural-person.ca/pdf/Gre...n_owns_USA.PDF So our gas prices are high because our government wants to bend us over and take our money.

It is approaching summer. Gas always goes up in summer because the richy douche *******s want to line their pockets more. "People drive more when it is warm, raise that ****!"

Go to the IRS website, read article 6209. It is 400 pages but I read it, because such as yourself, I did not believe, I did not want to believe. This is why the gov has gotten away with it for so many years. IF you do not want to read all of that just read the 16th amendment http://www.gpoaccess.gov/constitution/html/amdt16.html Here Congress passed the amendment and the Supreme Court of The USA had a unanimous vote that personal property taxes were illegal. But we pay them every year and if you do not they will suspend your license here in VA. USA is not all it is cracked up to be.

Then maybe you should move to another country?

Well, it is a fact that more gasoline is consumed during the Summer. Refiners also use different blends of gasoline in the warmer months which also contributes to higher prices. It's a lot more complicated than 'richy douches' lining their pockets.

Back to the thead topic...I've always filled up with 91, but I guess I'll try out 87 for the next tank. I'm really not concerned about the extra $5/fill up, but I also don't like to waste money.

Gas prices are what they are largely due to oil being sold as a commodity. Prices vary at the whim of the markets. Unlike durable goods the price goes up as demand goes up. so in a serious sense it is pocket lining. And what people don't understand is that the commodities market is THE problem with gas in this country. It is not obscene gas company profits, its not turmoil in the middle east, it isn't OPEC or environmentalists or taxes and exploding oil rigs. Its speculation. That's what needs to be stopped. Oil should be traded in a much more regulated fashion. The oil companies still get crazy rich and we get lower priced gas. Who loses? The middle men. It is ALWAYS a good thing when the middle me lose.

I'm very conservative and typically against gov regulation. All that needs to be done here is to regulate gas the same as common stocks and other forms of energy.
