Nissan loses at least 2,300 vehicles in earthquake, tsunami

http://www.motorwayamerica.com/news/...hquake-tsunami

Quote from the article:
The cars — including nearly 1,300 Infiniti M, EX and FX models bound for North America — were parked at two coastal loading points when the giant waves swept through.
Wonder how this will affect Infiniti sales here in the US.....

I don't think it will have much of an effect long term. Perhaps only short term until the ports and shipping can resume.

I don't know the laws in Japan but if those vehicles are not destroyed someone may purchase them for pennies on the yen and try to sell them?

Let the buyer beware of used vehicles.

If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

I don't purchase used vehicles any more.

You don't want a car that has been submerged in sea water....even for just a few minutes. Trust me, my first car was lost this way.
