Weird noises
When you run AC it puts more load on your motor plus your running all the AC components, if its an excessive noise you may have a prob with your AC system, maybe the compressor is on its way out? Have you tried turning your sterio up to 18 or so, that always works when I notice odd noises lol
My AC is set at 69 degrees summer so when it comes on all you'll hear is the fan trying to push me into the back seat. Once it's cooled down I'll reduce the fan speed with the V button....all is good. What noise....

Could also be the bearings on the idler pulley, or maybe the belt tension. Here's a good mod to do while you in there if you gotta do anything with the belts..

If you dig deep enough in that thread, you can find an OEM part number for a spacer rather than cutting off the bracket.
Good luck!

I got used to what ever sounds the compressor makes for the 4 months it was stuck on auto 72 degrees.
Heh, gave me the excuse to get a double din though. Extra 2.5 mpg was a nice surprise as well.

The additional noises from the car with the AC should be normal unless it sounds excessive. Try driving a G20 with the AC on, the power is cut in half with all sorts of whirling noises
Is the noises coming from the Motor or the inside. I was having some bad noise and ended up being my blower fan out of wack. So just replaced it and I think the new one I bought is turboed
