When is the best time to buy parts??

I noticed last winter that Tokico HP shocks were going for $250 a set, but since summer rolled around all the vendors started selling them for around $330

My question is, from your experience, are parts/mods cheaper to buy during the winter time?

Pricing on parts fluctuates from time to time. For example, pricing on tires go up and down just like gas prices. Same goes for other aftermarket parts. Some parts tend to fluctuate more than others.

IMO the best time to purchase parts is, when you got the $$$. I really can't understand the mind set of an individual who use their credit to mod their friggin car.. that's just not very smart! SMH

This is completely true.

A few weeks ago (early Sept), I picked up a set of winter tires for $85 a pop. They're currently advertised for 135$ each. .

It never hurts to talk to a vendor voice to voice, and bring up asking for a discount. They can only say no.

In this economy, EVERYONE is aware that money isn't flowing like it once was. Deals can be had, have the ***** to try.

Modding cars is very low on the food/housing/utilities/credit cards totem pole.
