Cracks in NEW bumper?
Cracks in NEW bumper?
Let me know if I am wrong for thinking this, but when I order a new bumper I expect it to not have cracks throughout it? Seems a bit ridiculous to me that there was not any responsibility taken for this damage from the company, just seems like bad business to me in general. Maybe this is a normal thing to happen, and if that is the case let me know. The alignment was also absolutely horrible and the bumper was warped, but I kind of let that go because with some work the shop got it to work.

Receiving a bumper in that condition is unacceptable! Where did you buy it from? Give them a call and send it back immediately. Hopefully you put the purchase on a card or Paypal, notify them and let them know your situation...remove charges! Again, why didn't you post where you got it from?

Useually when you get a damaged bumper you shouldn't sign for it & just tell the shipping company to return it to the sender as damaged in transit, I don't see why strafe isn't willing to work with you. There should be some type of insurance on thr part for parts getting damaged during shipping. Did you talk to Dustin or Law? Or the new guy Andy?

Fitment issues are 1 thing & strafe's disclaimer says that no kit fits perfect out of the box, but the cracks man, idk try talking to dustin again. He's a rlly cool guy & seems really up front with everything he does.

That's really not out of the ordinary for a fiberglass bumper. I've yet to see a fiberglass kit that was in "perfect" condition. Its hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like it's just the gel coat that's cracked. Those are minor cracks and can be easily fixed during paint prep. You may not realize it now, but there's probably much more work that's going to be required on that bumper than just those cracks that you see in order to get it ready for paint and fitting properly. Most people have no clue what it takes to get afiberglass kit to look all pretty and perfect on a show car...they think they're just going to order it, paint it, and slap it on.....which is faaaaar from the case on most every kit I've ever seen. I wouldn't freak out just yet.
I thought that sounded like Strafe
Suffice to say I ordered a K2 and some impul sides from Strafe awhile ago and had your problems and more. They were selling K2 bumpers, and the image of the K2 was poly... the one they sent was actually FG. That is what it is... apparently somewhere in their thread they'd said unless otherwise indicated all bumpers sold were FG. My bad, I can eat that. The K2 fits crappy- the lights don't fit... it's crooked on one side... It's not horrible but certainly not what I expected. Of course, I was new to the body kit world back then.
My impul sides... however... showed up so brutally warped that I never was able to mount them. Strafe took absolutely no accountability for that even though what happened was EVERYTHING to do with their process and how the FG cured / dried. In fact, those sides are still sitting in my basement.
The BIG mistake I made was trusting that they would show up in reasonable condition- so I basically took the boxes when they arrived and dropped them off at the paint shop without getting them fitted. THAT was my mistake. Next time, I'd get the bumper fitted and sorted out before painting. There was no fitting the impul sides... they were absolutely warped.and beyond salvage.
But regardless. If you're keeping the bumper and the shop says they can fix it... get all that fitiment stuff dealt with before painting. If not- good luck. I fought that fight and lost. I don't care what anyone says I'll never, ever buy a strafe product again- not even an air freshner.

Packages should be insured you should probably try to get in contact with the shipping company to see if you can file a claim for some extra $$ for repairs.
