Parking Violation Ticket

Hey guys got tagged with a parking violation ticket today for parking next to a fire hydrant that I didn't see apparently. Also got cited for blocking two driveways which I found stupid because I wasn't. The curb that I parked at was not marked no parking and I regularly see cars parked there. Anyway it's about a 50 dollar fine but have any of you guys ever had anything like this?

This happened in San Diego, CA btw.

Is there anything I can argue about this and does it affect my record and my insurance rates considering its a non moving violation?

You're supposed to park around 20 ft away from a fire hydrant.

What if there was a fire?!

Suck it up, pay it, live to fight another day. Not much you can do in that situation....it's a fight you'll never win.

You should have taken a picture of where your car is and contested it with proof. Btw, where was this at?

Everyone over the age of 16 with a drivers license knows it's illegal to park in front of a fire hydrant. Because you didn't know it was there says a lot about your awareness...scary!

Yep just gotta love these charitable donations.
It's essential to keep our LEOs fed and happy.

This happened in San Diego. Parked next to some houses and was in a big rush so...

OP, when you say you didn't see it apparently, does that mean you saw it afterwords? I read the original post while running on no sleep so I didn't comprehend it perfectly.

Yes I saw it afterwards as it was sorta concealed by some brushes that were around it. Usually I never park there but whatever.

Not a big deal probably just gonna pay as it doesnt affect my driving record at all.
