Stay away from the ebay turbo kits. Please. Seals go bad way fast on the turbo's, and by the time you get everything you need/ repair everything that breaks you'll be at the cost of a legitimate kit.

If it was an automatic trans drag car you would not need one as bad due to never shifting.

My car was a man transmission. I swapped the motor myself an transmission. The car had been swapped for 4 years before I sold it with zero issues. Not my 1st car I have built. Bov aren't not required. I know just a little how turbo motors work.

Bov have not always been around, look at all the other turbo cars that have been around for the last 25 years. Buick grand national, yea my dad has one, same motor no bov.

Just thought I would help you out. Don't know a whole lot about turbo motors though so no help there

Drill holes in Fuel tank and drop a bottle of NOS fuel enhancement through the nozzle. That is the easiest way to get a quick 72whp on a mustang dyno.

Do you realize some of the early turbo charged cars didn't have intercooler either and that early turbo charged cars had a horrible reputation for turbos constantly failing? There is a reason they started putting recirculation valves on factory turbo'd vehicles, it makes the turbo last longer due to reduced compressor surge.
Compressor surge is when the engine is under boost and the throttle plate is suddenly closed. The turbo is still spooling and creating pressure at this time, eventually the build up of pressure reverses in direction suddenly stopping the turbo's compressor wheel. This is hell on turbo bearings.
Not saying you can't run a car without a blow off valve but it is much better if you . It probably wouldn't hurt a ball bearing turbo as bad or quickly but having your intake air reverse in direction probably is less effecient. This is one reason they recommend mounting the blow off valve as close to the throttle body as possible, to keep air flowing in one direction at all times.

This is pretty much a pointless discussion. Everyone is going to have their own options on what is right or wrong as far as turbos go. I have had a few turbo cars an never had a bov. I have also had supercharged cars that were just aftercooled with no issues.

What turbo cars have you had without blow off valves?

Sorry everyone to keep butting in this thread but I had already posted in here and a few of you are talking about turbo stuff.

well i took me car to the muffler shop for dem to attach my turbos to the headers and do the exhaust. the guy was kinda a asshat but said that he should have it finished tomorrow. the young guy working on it was telling me all this stuff that i really didn't know about. he also said my muffler bearings needed grease and it would be like 50 bucks. i told him to do it but i have no idea what he was talking about. i searched and couldn't find anyone else with the problems so maybe it is just my cars. i am so excite that i should be able to drive it with the turbo it is going to be awsome. i love the sound the blow off makes it is so cool.

You spelled it wrong, it's muffler bear rings. Try the search again.

Make sure you tell them you need the muffler bear rings with the high temp grease in them.

Turbos run hot and they can really cook regular grease in the exhaust system. Before you know it you be back to a squeaky exhaust and no one likes that.

And really quoting articles from a website. Do you have any experience working on these cars?

I don't need a website to suggest how bov works an why I should own one.

I have rebuilt motors, installed them an drive them for the last 15 years.

You obviously need some literature since you lack the experience to have good judgement.
I haven't worked on many supercharged cars except a couple for regular maintaince when I worked at Toyota but that has nothing to do with the topic since supercharged engines don't need a blow off valve since they have diverter valves .
