If the deal is to good to be true, it probably is.

1. If they give you a TRUE value of $16k for your car (another ca worth $16k), how the hell are they going to sell your car for $16 to get their money out of it?

2. Since your car IS NOT worth $16k, and more like $10-11, then an even trade states the G can't be worth more than that. A 2005 auto with low miles for $11? Something wrong there.

3. How old are you? Are they preying on the young and easily pressured? btw, best move you did was walking away to think about it. Bring an older adult with you next time you go, it'll put the dealer on a more cautious footing usually.
Agreed something isnt right here. Usually dealers will offer less money to cars that have been modified from original OEM parts! I would get the G35 checked out by a family mechanic and if the offer still stands for a straight trade I would do it.
The only rational explanation I can think of is that G must have been on that dealers lot for too long now and they are just trying to get something more fuel efficient.. But even then be weary! GL and hope you become a member!

Yeah dude find out if it's a legit deal. I'm also an rsx owner I tried to trade it in for my 08 G with very low miles they said theyll only give me 4000 for my 04 rsx with 109,000 miles on it.

i agree with this. get it checked with a good mechanic you know first. and drive it give it good rev here and there see if it runs good. and if everything check out with the mechanic then i dont see why not. on the other hand it does seem too good to be true. idk bro. this ones tough IMO.

The car has less than 60k miles and 3 previous owners, and the dealer just agreed to drop a good portion of it's cost to do a straight trade with you. Something is wrong with that car. My guess would be oil consumption and the car is going to need a new motor soon.

I second most of everyone's comments here. Dealerships are a business and they are in it to make money. To lose 5k on a trade seems like a poor business deal, and I'm sure they are more savvy about pricing than you are, so there MUST be something they aren't telling you about the G.

I wouldn't, seems too good to be true. Remember dealerships are in the business to make money. How are they making money off you.. unless they can sell the RSX for more then the G which doesn't make sense. PS i loved my RSX before upgrading to the G

I came from an RSX-S before my G35. The snow driving is 50x worse. I got my G right before the snow hit, and I still had my all-seasons. Long story short, it's not fun. You hit the gas and the car fish tails. The following winter I spent ~$1000 on winter tires, and it became driveable... but still not great.

I'll be making a switch to something AWD soon since I'll be driving about 40 miles each way for my new job.
