Depends on the driver too. Is this your first time at the track? Is he more experienced?

Bro you're gonna have to flat foot shift every damn shift to keep up. I had an 8th gen si before I got caught racing one of the local g35's at our weekly walmart meets. I used to wax them left and right, I just had i/h/e and kpro. My vtec was tuned pretty conservatively but needless to say I wised up and bought a g35 after my civic got impounded. Bitches loves the g, but sometimes i wish it was as fast as my si

after going to the bathroom and thinking about the differences, I really think ur gonna win OP lol. Think about it. I dunno how much TQ Si's make and Im also too lazy to check, but i doubt it ever reaches 200lbs/ft. Now our Gs on the other hand get 260lbs/ft little bit after 3k rpm. theres ur answer right there....

^^ hondata and kpro + k20 does wonders!! also for a high revving small engines those I/H/E are really beneficial.

but OP please dont lose. for the sake of all the g35 owners prides....

I haven't really raced any si's yet because I know how fast they can be once they are tuned. I'm more into looks with my g35, can't afford another ticket. But I do plan on getting a turbo kit once I move out of my parents house.

with my mods, I dyno'd 220tq and 260hp...the thing is that the G is heavy so my si could keep up. The guy i raced had a tendency to run his mouth, and even though his g35 was modded...I think he was granny shifting because he was afraid to blow up his transmission. I'd race him again but my parents won't let me go to the walmart meets anymore.

Like I said man, you're gonna have to flat foot shift to keep up. Hopefully yours isn't 5AT..you might be **** outta luck. I'd say gut your cats and mufflers so you can get some extra horsepower and then maybe you might be able to keep up. I've only got some kyowa racing wheels and cut springs on my G, i'm just starting to get my feet wet with go fast mods so maybe someone else can help. I can tell you everything about 8th gens there is to know tho. If you can find out his exact mods with brands, I might be able to tell you how much horsepower his si is making.

+1 when you put in perspective the weight and what our Gs actually put out to the wheels and NOT the crank, our cars arent that fast. The thing is if our VQs made that the advertised HP to the Wheels we would burn a lot of cars.

I know some one that has a stock Evo 8. Everybody know these beasts get 280+ HP. He put it on a dyno and guess what? it rated 240 to the WHEELS. I literally dropped by jaw in disbelief. drivetrain loss sucks...
