any of you guys wanna race, pm me...I have my 8thgen buddies waiting for a race. I've beaten plenty of stock and modded g35's in my days of being a mod on 8thgen. Like I said, we were out there every weekend and the G's just kept getting beat week in and week out.
Didn't your car get impounded from racing?

Count me out.

i'm not racing...i don't have an SI anymore or I would. It's just a car, my ego is more important. Like I said, I have some 8thgen buddies that i've already talked to and are ready to run anyone thats up for some fun. Take your pick...all motor or FI. I'm relatively new here so I hope you have some fast cars to bring out. Some of you might have seen me out in the desert racing my NBP 8thgen. I had dcrh/greddy ti exhaust/hybrid racing 3" CAI tuned on kpro with a pnp head. I usually rolled out to meets on rota slips and hoosier slicks. fwd ftl...something I don't miss.

Try to see if you can take it to a muffler shop to gut your cats and mufflers. I'm not sure if there are any chips for the vq's but with a chip, I think you got him beat no question. Or else you'll be looking at his taillights the whole race. I had my bolt-on 8th gen si for about 2 years and I never lost to a single one of the local g35's that were at the weekly walmart meets. All this talk about beating g35's makes me wanna trade mine in and pick an NBP si again, boy do I miss that car and the 8thgen community, lots of smart guys and made great friends there

Good luck!
I get 170 ftlbs torque stock. You mean to say he gained 30ftlbs and 30hp from bolt ons?

This thread blows..

G35's aren't that fast, and they don't gain much from basic modifications.

When the race goes down, and he takes off, just leave it there in park and chat up some girls.

A civic si would need 195whp to match the horse power/ ton of a 6MT DE.
I'm assuming that isn't hard to get, but as state before, I would not be caught dead driving those bitch mobiles.
A 4.08 FD + bolt ons would wipe the floor with the si.
And lol @ FWD. Lets not forget the any honda 4 cylinder sounds like **** when straight piped.

Interesting thread.

I bet it would be close. Depends on just how much HP and TQ he is getting with those add-on's.

But at the end of the day I didn't buy my G35 for speed alone. If I was only concerned about speed I would have bought a Pontiac Solstice GXP. I think someone else said it best. When he takes off just put it in park and talk to some girls :-P
