Failed smog: HFC only mods...advice needed
Just barely failed smog today with the only mod being fast intentions high flow cats. See image below. I did just remove the JWT pop charger two days ago and did not reset the ECU...not sure if that would help.
Before resorting to putting stock cats back on I'd like to try other means. I didn't drive it around on the freeway beforehand and heat it up, and it was parked for a bit before it was smogged. I'm also thinking of running some injector cleaner and trying a mix of E85.
Any suggestions/ideas?

Easy fix, swap your OE cats back in and retake the test....you'll pass! You should have left your pop charger on, SMOG techs are normally only concerned about your sniffer test results....Gary
blew out my Kinetix and failed, bought the FI's and passed. this all happened last fall. it's not really hit or miss, for the 1st SMOG w/them. it's hit or miss if they'll survive till the next one.

I only took the pop charger off because I got sick of it and like the drop in better...feels much better all through the range.
I have had my cats in for about 2.5 years now, and I also do have the oil consumption problem. I wouldn't be surprised if my cats had holes in them.
