So about actually driving, doing something to a G. I'm just on my way back from ZdayZ on the Dragon. I got four runs in before the brakes started complaining (I have 4 new rotors and new pads waiting to go on, just ran out of time) and I noticed a serious flat spot on the right front tire that needs to be replace ASAP. It was the only tire I haven't pulled off the car since I bought it 5 weeks ago. So new tires coming up, maybe a pair, but probably all 4.

This car has seriously impressed me. I've driven Miatas through the Dragon for years and they almost telepathically do what you need them to do. The G isn't like that, but it surprisingly does what I tell it to (as long as I remember to turn VDC off). You can feel the heft of the thing as you go through the corners but it still manages to bend the laws of physics a bit as it hurtles it's heft through the switchbacks and off camber corners.

What did I do today?

Snapped off a bolt that holds down the coil pack when replacing my spark plugs.... :/ Now half the bolt is stuck in the hole and my coil pack just be sitting there doing it's thing.

 

Idk how people manage to do that. But I've read of these occurences a few times here lol

I did something similar. I stripped out the bolt hole for one of the coil packs. Ended up drilling out the old threads, tapping new ones, and inserting a helicoil. I just had to make sure I didn't drill through the valve cover. lol.

 

L O F$%KIN L ok so long story short, ive been waiting over 2 weeks to get my car done, and this guy told me to come by this tuesday ( been waiting over a week ) so i dropped car off at 10am, and got a call at 4pm saying ok its gonna cost 650$ to install the parts.

the idiots said it was like a 10 hour job so im like yeah ok give me my car back. these idiots brought my car to a shop that was 20 minutes away and took another 20 just to find this hidden scum bag shop. theres no way in hell it should cost 650$. just to do the art pipes alone the dude said 200$. LOLOLOLOLOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

rant over. time to find another shop

on a side note, my 4200$ paint job has fu$%kin bubbles and crap in the paint. the idiot said " its polyurthane its hard to work with " or some BS like that. time to sue the shop. good thing my bro in law is a partner at his firm LOL.
