I work on my own car because I don't want the shop to jack it up worse.

So far, have not taken my G to the shop for anything besides having tires mounted balanced, and I even brought the tires to them.

Thank you, Sir!

Funny thing, the coffee cup (a Christmas gift from our neighbors) I'm drinking out of right now says:

"I'd rather be in my Garage."

Took advantage of the 52F day.

Washed, compound, polished, waxed. Polished the headlights and then sealed them.

Vacuumed and cleaned interior. Tried polishing a few light scratches out of windshield, got maybe 50% of them out. Tire gloss.

Drinking some beer, wife is cooking some buffalo wings for the Superbowl, good times.

Hatchman,

What products did you use to compound and polish your paint?

Meguiars Ultimate Compound and Polish. Nothing fancy, the G paint is so soft, it doesn't take much to polish out all the scratches. Followed up with some Meguiars Ultimate Wax with the DA, then one more time with the Megs Ult Spray Wax.

I've found that Meguiars gets all the scratches and oxidation out, everything but iron. Guy who had the car before must have lived or worked close to a railroad track.

Sent my tablet / gauge mold out for painting. Fixed static in driver side tweeter with more electrical tape. Also ordered new door window trim moldings on outside of door.
