What did you do to the G today?
Well, mpg is not a factor as this build will be a weekend warrior car. As far as the reasoning, I was informed by a g expert that if im pushing over 600HP. It would be wise to swap it while my sub frame gets replaced. Since in dry conditions and conditions where slip isn't a factor, its much better In high HP builds.
That's what I'm saying. Unless you're still using it as a daily, then the 3.3 might be easier on axles and gas. If its a straight up racecar tho, I'm thinking 4.08 all day. Of course the 3.3 may be easier to launch.
Idk... I want to run either 3.7 or 3.9 to eat some of the top speed up
Top speed is kind of irrelevant. I mean how many of us have actually hut 155mph? My personal best is 130. My buddy hit 140 in his ms3, but fukc man...the wind noise north if 115 starts getting violent. My car is super solid still, but come 130, the noise alone is enough to make you think twice about going any faster.
3.9 is the most popular for a good balance I think, but I wouldn't go over 3.7 as a daily.

Not sure. This guy has built a ton of g cars and he swears by the 3.3 for getting ahead off the line. But depending on my setup and needs. I'll have two other diffs to chose from
3.9 or higher is way to high for 500+WHP. Even in a purpose built drag car, first gear would essentially be useless.
I have a 3.5 with only 491WHP and traction is practically nonexistent in the first 3 gears with 295/30/19 AD08's in the rear.

Its not being built for drag, its for time attacks. I trust his judgement but ill ask him what his reasoning is.

But to that I say, "mickey Thompson street slicks"
Already have a pair, but they're only good for going in a straight line.

Not bad idea.
