so i went against most peoples advice on the forums since i was unable to find a HR y-pipe after months of searching....i installed a DNA nismo style ypipe (i like to call it the amazon special), it was only 100 bucks on amazon and the shipping took like 4 days which is not long at all.
i pulled out my old ypipe and threw the new one on and low and behold the power band is actually alot smoother and allows me to shift alot smoother from 1-2 and 2-3.
my butt dyno tells me that it feels a little more torquey when i pull but i doubt there was much change if any.also my exhaust sounds alot more exotic and even alittle louder which is a definite plus for me.
all in all it fit really well and didnt cost much so if it fails i still have the oem one so im not too worried. i will be posting a video of the before and after as soon as my brother sends it to me after editing.
(it did feel sluggish and even quieter right after install but i pulled a lead off the battery and let the ecu reset and whenever i started it back up it sounded and acted like it was ready to be driven by Steve Millen)
hey frankie what wheels are those? ive only seen the 7 spoke splits on most of the infiniti stocks ive looked at i really like those 5 spoke splits.
&&on a more thread relevant note, i wire tucked the passenger side of the G yesterday, wasnt too difficult, i didnt even need to extend any wires for harnesses i did, just had to relocate a couple grounds to give it some play. planning on tucking the driver side in the next couple days and will be doing all the remaining wires when i get into doing the plenum spacer. all in all though it looks pretty damn good. i was quite tired of looking at all those wires when im planning on polishing most of the bay components.
also debadged the trunk....need to take a hairdryer and scraper to it to get some of the remaining glue off...that stuff is a pain in the neck.
basically ive been doing small cheap touch ups here and there for now becuase i just dropped about 900 on a stage 2 JWT clutch and lightweight flywheel so im back to saving up for awhile. Next few mods will be the motordyne 5/16 spacer, hr y pipe, and tein lowering springs. hopefully getting all that done before tax time rolls around becuase im hoping to get some nice wheels with that. unless i can find a nice pair like frankies up there im really liking those!

Tires are inflated properly and yes those are tuner lugs, my stock ones were fukked..
usually its not recommended to use tuner lugs on stock wheels. only aftermarket wheels. im sure theres people out there that do it regardless but thats the guideline

i know its not the best for paint but i used goo-gone to get that adhesive off and just picked the remaining bits off with my finger, washed the area and waxed it right after to make sure there was no goo gone left on there and it still looks awesome to this day.
the wheels that frankie has are the stock 19inch volk rays that came on the performance models, you can find them pretty easily on craigslist (depending on your area) and ive seen them on this forum alot. be ware though because they dont have a very aggressive offset and tires can be expensive as hell. im about to powder coat mine metallic gold but im currently looking for a place in austin that can do it for less than an arm and a leg.

fyi rays is the company that makes the wheels. volks is one of many product lines that rays makes. the oem 19s are not volks. jus oem forged wheels made by rays.
