Buffed Out my G35 to a mirror finish

 

what product did u use?

 

Simple chemical guys orange pad hex pad and Meguiars ultimate compound, did pretty good.

 

I inspected all bushings and they seemed to be fine. One thing I did notice that was odd was that on the actual adjustment part of the SPC arm (the threaded rod that receives the conical bushing) I could run the castle nut up way higher than the hole for the cotter pin. Also it seemed that the conical bushing slid higher up on the rod, as in it was squishing the red rubber, on the passenger side but not on the drivers side (and the conical bushing would fall off if not receiving any pressure). Drivers side seemed fine, just the passenger side was weird. Any help?

Edit : Also forgot to include that on the passenger side, when I get the castle nut tight, it ends up spinning the actual rod.

 

Got car back from the bodyshop.. Taking it to get professionally detailed tomorrow..

 

abandoned the idea of custom "auto" decal. looks okay in pics but upclose the lines are too fuzzy and unclean. just used an 04 washer stalk that doesnt have text. basically finished up auto winshield wiper install. just gotta cut and solder the wires to completely finish it off

 

I missed that you already have SPC arms. The castor should be able to be adjusted, but finding a tech who will take the 10 minutes to read the instructions can be a challenge.

It sounds like you are missing the cone shaped bushing that goes between the ball joint and the knuckle, or you have the wrong ones. It definitely shouldn't do what you're describing.

 

The cone bushing is intact, but it slides way further up the shaft on the passenger side, which in turn causes the castle nut to be higher on the threads and therefore missing the cotter pin hole. Its odd.

 

got the laser cut pieces back. still not perfect since he resized the ouside and changed the actual vectors of the letters. they arent perfect anymore. oh well. im done screwing with this thing

 

Got my whole front end repainted, front splashguards, wiper cowl, wiper arms, painted the jdm bump sidemarkers, shaved the headlights bezels and repainted those, did the clear lense on the projector, did a passive red demon eye, hid fog lights, and got the emblemless grill installed.. I still have to installed my carbon fiber front splitter from outcast and cf mirror bases..

Thanks and yeah I do but im waiting on some barrels and lips so I can rebuild and powdercoat them..

 

I made a G35 commercial with my friend. He shot it and edited it. I produced the music for it. Yes I know the dash, shift ****, and the speedometer are from the G37 or Q50 but I still like it. Let me know what you guys think.
