G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
It's definitely an option but a much more expensive one. Plus the 3.5 and 3.7's bolt right up in most cases if you do your research and buy the right one for your application. It's really a personal choice but most on here that have swapped have done so with an OEM.

Update to my plans for the next few weeks, since I'm doing paint correction, painting side skirts, mirrors and base, rear lip I'm gonna look into a front bumper. I have the standard bumper on my 03 and want either kurookie style or Miami style. I havent dealt with body kits in the past but never had much luck with fiberglass, it seems to not age well. Any certain brands to look at or stay away from. I don't want to spend a grand but not something dirt cheap that won't fit at all either.

Had a pair of Michelin PSS 285 30 20 fitted to the rear on Friday morning - and typically picked up a puncture by Friday evening.
Repaired that tire on Saturday and then put about 500 miles on them through various driving scenarios with a short drive in the rain.
They are SUPER sticky. No wheel spin from a dig and it takes a lot more effort to get sideways. Before I had Michelin PS a/s 3 285 35 20 which would break lose from a standstill pretty easy and keep going half way through 2nd gear as well although with a treadwear of 500 (compared to 300 on these) it was no surprise that they were not as soft/sticky.
The lower profile has brought back some wheel gap in the rear but I'm on springs so not much can be done. I could trim the spring mounts but then the front would be higher....

This is in Melbourne, Florida - about an hour from Orlando. I always saw this nice photo spot along my way to University and had some free time to finally stop by.

Congratulations on your tire selection. I believe 285s in the rear on these cars look mean, plus the added grip and stability especially in wet weather is a big bonus. The gap you have isn't bad. I have the same gap with the 285s I'm running. Suspension travel is lovely, no rubbing, no buffing.

Thanks, I definitely recommend them as a tire although I haven't looked at the prices of the competition out there. I bought them used as I do with all my tires and fortunately for the sizes I run I tend to end up with very good quality Pirelli/Michelin/Continental tires discarded from the "upper class" sports cars.
