I think that's because the front windshields can have a chip which propagates to a crack but the rest of the glass on a vehicle simply shatter once there's any decent damage. To be honest, I am as clueless as you all with it but it's a shame there's no camera to capture what really happened. Last time I checked it was 71F that morning and couldn't have gotten beyond 85 by the time I returned to my car (a very very mild day in FL). At least the tint held it together to buy me some time for a replacement. I had an online quote for $225 inc tax, going to call about and see if I can find cheaper. Considered replacing it myself but if I buy used for $150 there's still too much risk in the event I fit it wrong and it shatters over a bump or flexing the chassis jacking the car up etc. Circa $200 for a replacement with fitting and lifetime guarantee and I'll never have to worry about it.
Glass master everyone in a while has a 50% daily deal if you have those around there. Heat definately didn't cause that with those mild temps. When mine happened it was in South Florida in June with who knows how high of surface temps. I would scratch it off as one of those life scenarios that happen. Those prices aren't bad at all. I would probably do it myself. Find a used glass, is it tinted?
you should go with the nexus 7. it works super well! especially with these custom made roms that are specific for car installs
I've kept up with the root world so curious what OS your ROM is based off of. Once I got a 6.0.1 phone I don't want to go lower. Do they have Android 6 or higher Roms for the Nexus 7. If you didn't have a Nexus would you go with a newer 7 inch. I use a Kindle HD8 at work all day at Amazon while it's not beefy in specs it's really really smooth. At $40 it's kinda shocking now that I have real world experience with it. I'm still riding with a blank nav hole. But I can't decide. Part of me says just go with a 7 inch nav with backup camera. I really want a tablet that has USB audio if I did go that route.
@wrather: i actually got the lte nexus 7 so i wouldnt have to bother with the tethering. idk. i think 20$ a month seems worth it. and im running the oem radio with a grom bluetooth so i can keep the oem handsfree.
@urban lol the tails arent that bad. once you open one you will get a pretty clear idea lf how they need to be opened. haha the guide is pretty good
I have my old phablet tethered to my phone when using Google Maps or Torque Pro or Dash Command uploading. Using wifi at home it isn't to big of a hit sharing your phone's internet connection giving you aren't streaming YouTube or something all day. The old phablet right now is mounted on dash with double sided tape. It's ghetto but something for when I finish what I plan.
Actually just found out data logging once the cars coolant hits 197 the ECU starts pulling timing. 203-208 degrees I'm seeing 5 degrees of base timing pulled sometimes as high as 7 degrees but that's another subject. Anything under 197 and it's staying at 15 degrees base timing

i am on android 6.0. they just came out with a new rom for 6.0. the backup cam is triggered by a ftdi via usb and tripped via the reverse wire
Not my car; nor is it a G, but its a VQ so that's gotta count for something. Buddy of mine wanted his headlights painted to match the theme of his car. Wish our projector housing and what-not was separate from the rest of the housing like these lights. It would make painting so much easier! I'd say they came out pretty dang nice.
^^ Since its red and your bro has the red and black thing going, just throwing this out there, I think a black roof and rear views would look alright...

I think that the roof and mirrors would great too. This all didn't take too long since I've done by G before. And no I wasn't aware of the new lens, that a crazy difference.
Z is way over the top for me. All of the stickers and other bling give it a ricerish feel. JHMO though.....
You can't see the 3 other huge ones he has on each door either. I dont like the stickers either, but it's not my car. I do like his supercharger tho, wish I had boost...
