[QUOTE=BradMD_96;7111215]hahaha thanks guys, could not be any happier with the colour choice. I still haven't cut and buffed the clear so I'm excited to see how it all comes out. Here's a few more pics from our day trip up to St. Augustine, FL.

you should paint your mirror bases. Color looks great indeed though

Colour code them or paint them black? Because they already are black but its gloss so the light shines off it. The other side is actually cracked so I'm on the lookout for a replacement before I get round to painting any other colour anyway.

That's amazing that you are using stock arms with that drop. I recently put some Z1 Motorsports arms and now I've got some creaking/binding noise up front in the right side. I can't say for sure that it's the arms since the left side isn't making noise. I'm wondering if the drop put stress on some other oem part and is causing a failure.

My next step is to swap back the oem A arms. My car is not as low as yours in the front, thus, I might be able to get away with my oem arms as well.

oh I couldn't tell they were painted black, it looked like the regular black plastic. gloss black is better than color matched in your car for the contrast and to compliment your other black accents

I've got two new OEM mirrors I am getting ready to put on. The drivers was badly oxidized on the black, the passengers mysteriously cracked in the black part.

My bodyshop guy guy wants to paint the black part diamond graphite to match the car and I just might let him...

I agree with your body shop guy, it really cleans up the look to have the bases painted the same color as the car.

Hit a block of wood on 85 today omw to work. Obliterated by passenger side flex pipe, but luckily the shop I work at used to be a VQ tuner shop, and we have a few spare Y's lying around. Still sucks tho, and it sounds like butthole. Boss drove the GTR to the shop today, and of course I snapped a pic. Yes they're the same color, Rosy (GTR) is gloss and my car is satin.

Alright, you talked me into it

It is a bit hard, though, to paint over brand new mirror bases....

what are you dropped on? These S techs give about 1.5-2 inch drop I think. Normally the compression rod bush takes on a lot more stress once lowered so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the source of your creaking - or maybe a ball joint that's now sitting in a different position.

Good questions. We since went back in and tightended/lubed up everything and I now do not think it is the A arms because only one side is making the noise and if it were the a arms, it would seem that it would be both sides. I think, based on my research, that it is likely the front lower ball joints of the steering knuckle failing under the new geometry of the drop. I've read a bunch of posts where members replaced everything but the lower ball joints and still had the creaking that subsequently went away once they replaced the lower ball joints. The perils of further lowering a car with 152k on it.

I ordered the lower ball joints from Z1 and we will replace these and see what happens--at the same time we will replace the front and rear sway bar links with Whitelines just to do this

Btw, I'm dropped on Fortune Auto 500s.

Thanks for your input and I'll report back in once we try the next steps.

I've been there. My lower seat was ripped, small tear and let my mom drive the car and the tear ends up 12 inches long. Found a lower seat for $30 on eBay in perfect condition. Separating the backrest upper portion from the lower portion was a damn nightmare. It's easy to pull the seat but the airbag, wiring, everything was hell on Earth..Just gotta wing it to figure it out. Good deals on eBay if you decide to piece together the seat
