Brake pads are starting to sqeel, so I guess it's time for new brakes.
I've had these calipers for almost 2 years now, finally ordered pads, rotors, shims, and rebuild kits. Went ahead and painted them last night. Used VHT silver caliper paint, and 2K automotive clear. Still on the fence on if I'll order those Akebono caliper stickers or just leave them blank.
CSW, are those muffler tips bigger than the OEM? If so, can u give us a shot of it from the rear?
An *** shot of my daily beater with the 4.5" cannons complete with plastidipped Bondo rear quarter panels and misaligned rear bumper. Drives great though, gets pushed almost every day without a complaint (after replacing all the important bushings with poly, maintenance, etc etc etc etc). At some point it's gonna get sprayed over with Halo EFX or something like that, but I'm past caring what my car looks like as long as I can drive it like NASCAR everyday home from work and it'll be reliable....

im surprised u went with the boring silver color. i hate the color of the stock akebonos on my car. u didnt want to take that opportunity to do a more interesting color?

I went back and forth on that. My car is liquid platinum, so these more or less match the car. Red was my other choice, anything else just wouldn't flow right.
Started detailing the car today. Did a full engine bay, hood, trunk, door jam cleaning... washed the car and clayed with a towel dry... applied trim restore to all trim... applied interior shine to all interior plastics... cleaned steering wheel and buffed it dry for safety reasons... cleaned all windows inside and out multiple times (pretty dirty lol).
Still left: polish exhaust with mother's mag (amazing product), wax car, clean and condition leather interior, clear plastic polish, clean headliner if possible.
I always forget how nice the car is until after the first detail of the season. Looking at the hood of the car pulling back into the garage was nice! It was mirror clean... more to come tomorrow.
G35 Sedan RWD. Nismo Aero Pkg, Eibach PRO kit lowering springs, Plenum Spacer, Stillen Intake,
Ceramic coated the G!
Hi everyone, new to the group but not new to ownership, I’ve owned my 2004 Infiniti g35 got about 12 years now and driven her 165,000miles and counting. The G has always been a special car to me. It was my first car and it’s taken me through college, countless road trips all across the United States.
The G has spent most of its live in California until 2 years ago, when I got a job in the east coast and drove 2400 miles to start a new chapter. Even since my G has been thru 2 winters of daily driving. It currently sits at 16500 miles and runs strong.
Despite its age and high mileage, there’s just something about this G that has me looking back at her every single time I park and walk away. It’s has taken years and different set ups to finally achieve this simple clean look I’ve always desired.
Being a avid car lover and detailer by passion, it’s needles to say the G has always been kept in prestine (to my standards) condition. It has never seen a machine wash. Weekly hand washed by me/ touchless in the winter.
So, here’s what I did to my G recently;
I had the G fully detailed and ceramic coated.I took my time to properly correct the paint followed by 3 coats of cquartz 3.0. Brand new tires all round, brand new R1 concepts rotors and pads all round, new rear bearings(left and right), replaced front right knuckle, replaced tie rods, replaced drive belts.
Car should be good for another 100,000 miles. Please enjoy the pictures of my G35!
Beautiful Nismo sedan. I love the coupe 18" rims, the black roof and the 05-06 taillights. The drop is perfect, what did you use for it? And finally, some pics make it look like Brilliant Silver and others make it look like a Desert Platinum. Details please!!!
