V12 start sound?

Ok i think im half ready to catch flack from this but just a question. What makes the v12 starter sound so unique? Could you possible put this on any car? I did some looking just to see and a few things they say is that fact its a v12, yeah i get that. Also something about a constant load starter. Not really sure just a question i guess more for knowledge and learning.

Are you just talking about the initial warm up procedure? Similar to a bike how it revs it up and then idles at a certain rpm?

Negative, talking about the cranking part. I guess some people say it would sound like a jet starting. Ill try to find a good audio to post.

I guess I know what your talking about, people on GM B/D bodies (91-96 caprices/impalas, fleetwoods) would use a starter from (dont quote me) a corvette and it had a different sound to it. I had a Mini Starter (yes thats what they are reffered to) that my dad had from one of his many projects it had a differnt unique sound. Most people with High compression race motors used them they just sounded cool. As for swapping anything in G's I doubt youll find anything that will work. Double the voltage I bet it will change the sound of the starter then lol.

Just put an electric leaf blower motor under the hood that runs when the starter does.

Again, i understand its double what ours are. To me it almost sounds like its just a starter, but it cant be that simple. If I could fit a V12 in my car I would.

The whirring snarl at 0:07 in the Bentley video and 0:10 in the Aston video is the starter. It is almost certainly a larger and more powerful starter than a G has, because it has to turn twice the cylinders. After that, you hear the motor start, and that is the V12, you can't really imitate it with a V6.

alright nice. you know it's probably already turbo charged too lol. this will be the greatest swap ever.

that noise from the bentley and aston is the starter. it's just a more powerful starter. call up bentley. i'm sure they will sell you one.

all joking aside, could you imagine, scrolling through the DIY's here on the forum and seeing DIY: Bentley starter swap.

(ben stiller voice) DO IT!

Just put a Honeywell AGT 1500 Turbine engine in there and call it a day. You'll get power and a great sound lol.

theres a Bently at my work and yes those starters sound pretty cool. and yes its just wut some one said up there. its just a higher current in the starter cuz its got more cylinders to turn. what u hear is just magnetic field spinning the field coil and brushes contacting the commutator.
