tranny fluid refill
tranny fluid refill
Performing transgo vb upgrade this weekend.. goin to dealership today to pick up new tranny fluid.. can someone explain to me how to refill the vb with fluid after installation? I have an 06 coupe.
You fill it up from behind the plenum, to the left of it. , I believe it's a 10mm bolt.
And just in case you haven't seen it: https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-...y-upgrade.html

Ok finally found that small thing. i have kinetix intake manifold so it was well hidden.. i actually had to bend the pipe to get the cap off.. i bought s matic fluid. the cap says j matic caution.. so im assuming i did right? thanks man!
the VB upgrade is pretty intensive, if you don't know how to fill the transmission up with fluid..., all I am saying is make sure you know what your doing lol.
Matic-S Replaced Matic-J, Matic S is fine. You can buy the fluid much cheaper online but since you are doing the upgrade soon, Id call around should be anywhere from 11-13 bucks a quart, some dealers want 20 which is a rip.

Ummmm... I have to agree with screensavers here... You can't find the trans fluid dip stick and don't know how much fluid to buy for doing a Transgo... You should probably leave it to a professional.
I've done 4 TransGo installs so far and am doing 2 more in the next few weeks so trust me when I say that this mod isn't for the average Do It Yourselfer. Ill admit that even I was a little nervous on my first install and I have years of experience working on cars for a living.
Remember that a new valve body costs $1,000 if you mess anything up...
