Ahh yes you are correct I finally looked them up and they're called Motegi DP6 cost anywhere from $150-180 a piece.

I don't understand what's so funny/bad about that thread, could someone explain it?
Most of the posts are just pointing out that the car is all show and no go. Which it is. If anything, the people there actually write in full complete polite sentences, which is a step up from these forums.

What I miss?
I used to own one of those Maximas, and frequented the .org quite a bit. Most of those guys are actually pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the VQ. And most of them are function over form modders. Not too many people do aesthetics when it comes to the Maxima, mainly because most of those guys get more of a jolly out of knowing their four-door grocery getter blew the doors off of a Mustang/Camaro/etc.
For what it's worth, anyone ******* on the "performance" aspect of the Maxima, the 6MT 5.5 is faster out of the box than the G is. Sorry guys, but it's true. Granted, it may not go around corners as fast, but in a straight line, it will walk away from a G, stock for stock.

Go ahead and hate. 
I loved my Maxima. It was fun for what it was. A quick, sporty, grocery getter that would surprise a lot of people. Of course, it was also fairly not stock before I sold it.
I don't dislike the G at all either. Don't get me wrong. I love my G.
Xet: Refresh my memory on how to embed YouTube videos on Driver, and I'll post some up. Looking at things, it's close. Really close. But the fact that the Maxima is a few hundred pounds lighter gives it an edge. Even with the G having more BHP.
From a dead stop, the Maxima is quicker. From a roll, the G is overall faster because it has a better gear set for top-end acceleration.
I still agree with what some of them said, though. The red G may be sick to some of y'all. And everyone has personal taste. It's not a bad-looking car, but to me, air bags on a sports coupe are useless. Put it on coils so that it handles like it's supposed to.

Proof?? I don't follow maximas much because I just don't really care but from what I see the 5.5 gen runs anywhere from low to high 14's, we have stock G's that have run the 1/4 mile in the high 13's (https://g35driver.com/forums/drag/16...ons-stock.html) and that is non-revup as well.
