Help with CF slayer hood fitment
#17
So yea there it is...but my other hood fit perfectly even after the accident so it doesn't lead me to believe that the fitment issues or the GAPS is due the accident but the hood hinges for sure are probly a little cause to it but I can't see it fixing that much of the problem

With my Hikkata Dori hood, I also had fitment issues around the fenders and around the grill. There a few things that I did to make it fit better.
Looking at your images, you can do a few things.
1. Loosen the bolts on the top of your fender mounts and you can adjust them either inward or outward. This can create an even line for you when you open and close your hood.
2. You can take a dremel or whatever and elongate the holes your hood hinges so that you can also adjust the hood up and down, left and right, or whatever is needed in order for you to align your hood. Luckily for me, I didn't have to elongate the holes that much.
3. If you have issues with closing your hood, try replacing the hood latch spring with one that is smaller and gives less tension. I did that and it opens and closes super easy now.

Also, I should remind you that when removing your hood to actually do this task, make sure you blue tape the corners of your fenders so that you don't accidently end up scratching them.
