VDC off but slip sometimes comes on

Hey guys,

I will be racing my 08 g35S sedan at an autocross this weekend and I had a question. When I have the VDC OFF sometimes when it starts to drift or feel wheel slippage the Slip light will come on and momentarily cut power. Is there anyway to avoid this? I have had it sometimes where the Slip light will come on with the VDC off and cut power and other times I can drift or spin the tires as much as I'd like. I do not want this Slip Light hindering me during the autocross....Is there a fuse i need to pull so that the slip does not engage when the VDC is off? Thanks for any input!

Shayn

Research a switch disabling the YAW sensor.

It's located under the armrest in some of our G's (not certain about V36). That sensor still blocks true wheelspin. Add a switch on the positive side to turn it on and off.

I just tested mine tonight to make sure it was still doing it's job . Much more fun and safe if you know your car.

With the VDC off, it's not truely 100% off.

I've noticed the same when doing AWD donuts in the snow. Get the car wild enough and the slip light still comes on. Having AutoXed myself, it's def something you want to disable.
