Save your $$$

Take it from someone who spent $10K turboeing a car...you never get a cent back. If anything, it makes it difficult to sell the car later on. As much as everyone drools over a highly modified car, those people are few and far between in the real world and when comes time to sell, the only way to really sell the car is to price it cheap, or demodify it back to stock and see the car as stock.

If you already see an end-game with your current vehicle, don't invest $10K into it. Put that $$ into the S&P500 and make a decent return and then sell your car and go buy something nice

its an enthusiasm thing. if that is what you wanna do and you got the money to spend then go for it and enjoy you ride cause you cant take your money with you when you go under dirt.... but if you are looking at it from an investment point of view then dont even think about it cause you wont get your money back, not even close.....
if you just want more power then just sell your car and add the $10k and get an M3 E92 or similar sports luxury ride upgrade with the same or even more RELIABLE power that you would be getting with the TT and not lose much value in 2-3 years when you decide to upgrade again!

Not sure if you read my previous post but I'll mention it again.

Yes. Its because I never buy brand new & I never sell a modded car. I always look for used kits or parts that are in good condition. New turbo kits drop down so much & then they stop. If the kit is taken care of by previous owner & by you its not gonna get cheaper than what you bought it used (at the right price).

So enjoy the kit at a safe level (5-7psi, no need or rebuild engine). a year or so down the road demod & sell. The car will depreciate thats no doubt, but if you bought a used kit for 4k theres a pretty damn good chance you can sell it for 3500-4500.

Again I dont mean you will get back every dollar, however if you're careful buying & do your research & buy the right deals at the right time, you will get most of your money back parts wise. Labour, maintenance, bodywork, tuning & time, thats gone a waste, however its a hobby, a passion. It all depends what it means to you.

The only thing you lose money on is gas & rubber IMO, if you careful when buying.

I bought my kit for an amazing deal, I know I can sell it again & not lose money as long as I keep it in the same condition.

I was quoted around 2200 to install my greddy TT. I said hell no, and here it is now. Working on it couple of hours every second day. No rush to get it done, even if it takes me 4 months. I have 2 other cars that i daily.

Another example, did my own quad bixenon retro. I bought used parts & so on. I have seen them go for 1200+ and they didnt cost me that much.

Dual ring tail lights go for 800+ all it costed was my stock tails & a set of broken G sedan tail lights & a shiit load of time.

I misunderstood your statement then. My bad.

Thought you meant buy a car for $5K, toss $10K worth of retail priced mods on it and sell the complete car whole down the road for $15K.

Hell no. Good luck finding anyone buying a modded car. You're lucky if you get market value for it.

Im in WELL more than 10k on my car... I know I wont get it back if I sell the car... Most I could ask for a fully modded car is 20k... maybe 30 if I go in and get the paint done 100percent... but even then I know I wont be seeing it. I would get offeres of 10k all day long....
