I already took into consideration of what Tony does and what he did and the quality that goes into the exhaust-- i'm not ignorant. All I wanted to know if there was some reasoning behind the exhaust costing what it does. If you know what Tony does then you already know why the exhaust is expensive so why ask the question in the first place? You already know the answer.

I stalk the vendors and classified for the exhaust and am still waiting for someone to sell it. Lots of vendors sell it including Motordyne's website. Again not sure where your confusion comes from.

Plus, is it wrong wanting something for your car you plan on keeping for at least another 4 or so years? If you can't afford it because you can't work, you're talking about going to college which is expensive as **** these days and you want to spend money on your car for something that isn't needed but wanted, yes, you're doing it wrong.

I mean c'mon, it's not like i'm so spoiled kid who gets' whatever he wants, if that were the case, i'd be rolling in a GT-R by now; but that's my end goal after college. I never said or implied that, my comments were to make you think about the practicality of your wants because it seems to me you don't really have a good grasp of financial responsibility. That's all.
Edit: Car has 68k on the odometer, and we're really uptight about maintenance so future car parts aren't a problem and was well aware of what could potentially happen and were prepared for it. Ok sure........
See comments above in red. I, specifically, wasn't trying to beat you up but to get you to consider your financial thinking because it seems off to me. I'm sure I don't have a grasp of your complete situation, just want you to be smart about your future.

I bought my tdx2 with my own money my freshman year of college. Bought art pipes a year ago and it sounds amazing.
DON'T make your dad pay for it. I get being supported by your parents while you're in college, but don't spend their money on car parts. Spend it on books and classes.

Is the motordyne exhaust worth the money? Yes.
Should you pay for it yourself to appreciate it that much more? Yes.

It's hard to take advice from someone older (albeit not by a lot) but you should listen.

Yea, I already applied for a job at best buy-- hoping to get a callback sometime this week for an interview .
Quick question, will the exhaust replace my cat as Nc requires a OBD inspection. If it does, will there be any add-on I can use to pass emissions?

NC emissions is only on board diagnostics. Meaning they are not hooking your car up and measuring your exhaust from the tail pipe.

You are not replacing cats so you have nothing to worry about.
